Turned out that in eclipse there was a record 128 KB long (zero-filled after the 32KB) and truncating at the correct length that was a legit Pokemon Red battery save file.

I was trying to extract my Pokemon Red save game (32KB) FROM backups actually, because I was experiencing a very odd behavior while exporting (downloading) the save data directly: I couldn't save neither from game>BatterySave (creating a 3 bytes file.?!) or Settings>Storage (creating a 128KB file?!) for some reason, importing the backup from my iPhone to my PC browser was fine and the save game data was there. So, today I messed up with the EclipseEmu backup file format.
